Starting in July; the second most exciting comic of the Summer!
The brainchild of DC art director Mark Chiarello (editor on ‘Batman: Black & White’, DC: The New Frontier’ and ‘Solo’) ‘WEDNESDAY COMICS’ (or 'Thursday Comics' as it should be known in the UK) is a Broadsheet-sized weekly title featuring a stellar line-up of comic’s finest creators, including Paul Pope, Neil Gaiman, Mike Allred, Kyle Baker, Joe Kubert and Eduardo Risso; plus hot new talents Ben Caldwell, Joe Quiñones and Sean “Cheeks” Galloway!
In the style of old-fashioned U.S. newspaper ‘Sunday Comics’ format, each copy of this 12 issue series features sixteen 14" x 20" pages (folded to 7” x 10” normal comic size) making it the "Kramers Ergot # 7" of the DCU (I can't wait for the 'Absolute Edition') and all for only £2.90.
That’s the equivalent of 64 normal sized comic pages for the price of an issue of ‘Dark Avengers’.
Given the sheer scale of the individual pages, ‘Wednesday Comics’ is highly unlikely to ever be collected in trade paperback format, indeed Chiarello’s previous project ‘SOLO’ has still yet to be collected two years after release, SO PLACE IT ON YOUR STANDING ORDER NOW!
Here’s the full line-up:
