The Game’s Afoot Watson!

The creative behind Eye Classic’s ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’ adaptation are back with ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’, the first book in a series adapting the complete Sherlock Holmes stories into graphic novel form.

Scintillatingly scribed by comics’ busiest man Ian Edginton who, in a few short years, has made quite a name for himself; both in the U.S. with runs on ‘Batman’, ‘Blade’, ‘X-Force’ and ‘Aliens’ and the U.K with such 2000AD serials as ‘Red Seas’ and ‘Stone Island’.
However, it is for his collaborations with fellow Brit Matt ‘D’Israeli’ Brooker; ‘Leviathan’, ‘Stickleback’, ‘Kingdom of the Wicked’ and the‘Scarlet Traces’ trilogy that he is most renowned.


Dazzingly drawn by animator Ian Culbard whose many cereal commercials have graced many a British teatime T.V. screen.
Culbard’s Ligne Claire stylings; reminescent of Edgar P. Jacobs, Yves Chaland and Rian Hughes, provide the perfect accompaniment to Edgington’s adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s text.

Holmes enthusiasts will be pleased and relieved by Edginton & Culbard’s back-to-basics approach, retaining the authentic tone and character of Conan Doyle’s original stories; hence no bumbling Doctor Watson nor deer stalker as added in later cinema and theatre versions.
