Detective Jack Herriman has moved in with his Uncle Knut, an award-winning crime-scene photographer, in an attempt to rebuild his shattered life and career, putting his checkered past behind him. Jack takes on a missing-persons case that quickly turns into a murder investigation, dragging him into the midst of a family scandal and a lascivious, and potentially deadly, New Age cult.
